Satya Nadella is the Right Boss For This Era of Microsoft

Satya Nadella is the right Boss for this era of Microsoft..

"I may break my continuous work day record!" ~ Satya Nadella

I am writing this article because I love Microsoft, I love my India and I love the post of CEO.

He is from India, he is Microsoft and now he is CEO.

He is always motivational, he always "Loves to learn", he buys books then reads, he signs up for online courses then he finishes them, he accepts that the world is becoming digital and software driven. And many more interesting things make me his fan. In his personal life he is a good father, he joined Microsoft 22 years ago, he is south Indian from Hindustan.

Satya Nadella, the third CEO of Microsoft, brings a relentless drive for innovation and a spirit of collaboration to his new role. His experience saw how clearly Microsoft empowers people to do magical things and ultimately make the world a better place. Many companies, Satya says, “aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources and perseverance. Microsoft has proven that it has all three in abundance.”

"I fundamentally believe that if you are not learning new things, you stop doing great and useful things." ~ Satya Nadella

The new CEO says: "Our industry does not respect tradition - it only respects innovation".

I Googled and found some interesting points about him:

  1. He has a deep knowledge of Cloud Computing. Before becoming the head of cloud and enterprise engineering; Nadella led Microsoft's server and tools division.
  2. Primarily educated in India.
  3. He knows Microsoft very well since 1992.
  4. He belongs from the Indian Technology hub Hyderabad.
  5. His Twitter feeds are slow: @satyanadella ;)
  6. He may break his continuous work day record!

History is writing a new Era in Microsoft

Here Bill Gates will be returning to a larger role at Microsoft as Technology Advisor, though, it's doubtful he'll be involved in day-to-day decision making. As part of that move, John Thompson will be taking over as chairman.

According to Gates, it was Satya himself who asked him to "step up" his presence at the company and become more involved with guiding the various product groups. The goal for both men will be to overcome the obvious challenges facing the technology stalwart. If we're feeling generous, we'd call Windows Phone a modest success. And while 365 is certainly no slouch, it's still playing catch up to the giant of the cloud productivity space, Google. But its most recent earnings report provides reason to hope that Microsoft is slowly becoming the device and services giant it hopes to be.

His motivational words for business leaders: “Many companies aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources and perseverance. Microsoft has proven that it has all three in abundance.”

What will Microsoft be like if Satya Nadella becomes CEO?

Business Week Says

"While Microsoft wants its scientists to focus on research, it has urged them to take a stab at more practical work, too. And the company has an impressive list of successes, although not always with eye-candy type stuff. Microsoft Research, for example, has done some of the key work behind the company’s shift turning boxed software such as Office into a service that can be delivered via the Web."
