Introduction
In this article we explain how to disable Start Screen Animations completely in Windows 8. The Start Screen animation is also known as Tiles Animation. The Start Screen Animations is especially noticeable when you switch between the casual Desktop screens to the Start Screen by hitting the Win key.
But if you do not like your Start Screen animations or have a slow computer but want your PC to respond effectively then you can disable Windows Start Screen animations. This will help not only in fast booting up plus also quick UI response.
How to disable Start Screen animation in Windows 8
Step 1
Go to the Charms Bar and click on "PC Info" under "Settings" or right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties".

In the system window click on "Advanced system settings".

The system properties window will be opened; click on "Settings" under the Performance section in the Advanced tab.

In the performance tab uncheck the first option "Animate controls and elements inside Windows" and click on "OK".

Now go to the Start Screen to see the effect.
