How to Add Network Location in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are going to explain how to add a network location in Windows 8. Adding a network location is a feature of Windows 8 that allows you to sign up for services that offer online storage space. You can also use this space to store, organize and share your documents and pictures using only a web browser internet connection.

You can also use add a network location feature to create a shortcut to a website, a FTP site, on another network location.

How to add a network location in Windows 8

Step 1

Open "My Computer" and click on "Add a network location" on the "Computer" tab.

An "Add a network location" window will be shown; in this window click on "Next".

Step 3

In this step, select your network location where you want to create this location and then click on "Next".

In this step click on "Browse" and select the network folder to which you want to publish your file and then click on "OK".

After selecting the network folder click on "Next" to continue.

Now click on "Finish" to complete you process.
