How to Create Backup and Restore It in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are going to explain how to create a backup and do a restore in Windows 8. Windows 8 provides two helpfull tools to maintain data and backups of your computer in safe mode. By this tool you can Reset and Restore our computer. Actually often you encounter a critical problem like a virus attack on an application or a registry file is missing in windows. In previous versions of Windows like Windows 7 to solve this problem we have to format the computer but in Windows 8 the Restore and Reset tool is available. In Windows 8 the Reset tool is used to return our computer to its original factory state but Restore keeps our Metro applications, installed files and previous settings in actual mode.

To Reset or Restore our Windows 8 computer you have to use the RecImg tool. RecImg is a tool used to create a Windows 8 Backup and Restore of the computer without lossing files and settings.

How to create a Windows 8 backup and Restore.

Step 1

Download the RecImg tool and install it.

After installing RecImg open it by double-click or right-click.

The RecImg window will be opened; select "Backup" to create a Backup file.

In this step choose the drive location where you want to save a backup file and click on "Start Backup".

Step 5

In this step the backup creation process begins. It will take time, depending on the installed applications in your Windows system.

After the complete backup is completed, it will show the message Backup Complete. Next click "Yes".

Again launch the RecImg tool and click on the "Restore" option.

In this step select your backup file and click on "Restore".

In this step it will ask for your confirmation; click "Next" to restore your system.

Step 10

The restoration process will begin. Wait a few minutes and follow Restoring Steps. If you want to cancel the restoration then click on "cancel".
