Introduction
In this article we are going to explain how to enable and disable starting sounds in Windows 8. In Windows the starting sound is a sound that plays when Windows starts and indicates that Windows is now functional and the user can start doing his work. The startup sound is a typical sound that can be changed by the user but some users may find it annoying and they often turn it off.
When you start Windows 8 however, there is not a sound that plays like in previous versions of Windows. Because in Windows 8 the starting sound feature is disabled by default. If you want to play a starting sound in Windows 8 then you have to enable this feature.
How to enable starting sound in Windows 8.
Step 1
Right-click on your desktop screen and select "personalize".
Step 2
In Personalize Windows click on "Sound".
Step 3
A "Sound" window will open that shows all the system sounds.
Step 4
In that window "Enable" to "play Windows startup sound" and click on "OK".
Step 5
Now restart to your PC. The Windows starting sound will be played. If you want to disable the startup sound then follow the same steps.
