In Windows 8 the Task Manager has a new look and updated new features. An update to the Task Manager in Windows 8 is intended to provide the user with a quick and easy way to stop or kill non-responsive processes by simplifying the initial pop-up window. In previous versions of Windows, to open the Task Manager you press "Ctrl+Att+Del" and then select the Task Manager but in Windows 8 you can can open Task Manager simply by right-clicking on the Taskbar and selecting Task Manager.
In this article we are explaining how to kill a process or stop to a process in Windows 8 using the Task Manager. We use taskmaster to kill a process when any application or process is not responding. The Task Manager can also stop background processes.
How to kill a process using the Task Manager.
Step 1
Press "Ctrl+Alt+Del" or go to the Taskbar and right-click and select "Task Manager".
Step 2
The Task Manager window will open that will show all running processes.
Step 3
Select the process to kill and right-click and select "End Task".
Step 4
If you want to see background processes then click on "More Details" in the context menu. To kill a background process use the same steps.
