How to Make Windows 8 Transparent

Introduction

Microsoft has released Windows 8, a new version of Windows. Windows 8 came with many new features and many changes. New feature such as Metro Start Screen, Charms Bar etc. Many features have been removed from Windows 8 such as Start menu, Aero Transparency etc.  The Aero transparency feature was first time introduced in Windows Vista and it was also in Windows 7 but in Windows 8 this feature has been removed. If you want to use this feature with Windows 8, however, then you can manually enable this feature in Windows 8.

In this article we are explaining how to enable Aero Transparency in Windows 8.

How to enable Aero Transparency in Windows 8.

Step 1

Go to the Desktop screen, right-click and select "Personalize" from the context menu.

Step 2

In the Personalize window click "High Contrast White" from the "High Contrast Theme" option. Your Windows color will be changed.

Step 3

Click on the "Color" button side in the personalize window.

Step 4

A "Color and Appearance" window will be opened. In this widow click on "Background" on "Active windows tiles" and minimize the color by arrow in the right side. Click on "OK" in the color window.

Step 5

Do the same in "Inactive window tiles". Then click on "Apply" but don't close the "Color and Appearance" window.

Step 6

Now go to the Desktop screen, right-click and select "Personalize" from the context menu. The Personalize window will be opened. In this window select the theme you want to show on the Desktop background.

Step 7

Now go to the "Color and Appearance" window and click on "Save Changes".

Step 8

Now go to the Desktop screen. You will see everything in Transparent format.
