How to Pin Website to Start Screen in Windows 8

Introduction

Windows 8 includes many new features, such as Metro Start Screen, Charms Bar etc. In Windows 8, the Metro Start Screen provides easy access to a Metro application. If you want to add a file, folder, Control Panel or your favorite web sites then you can easily add them to the Start Screen.

In this article we are explaining how to add your favorite websites to the Metro Start Screen. After adding a website to the Start Screen you can easily access the website. You don't need to open a browser and type a website URL. To open a website from the Start Screen you simply go to the Metro Start Screen and click on the website name and your website will be opened.

How to add favorite websites to the Start Screen.

Step 1

Open Internet Explorer from the Metro Start Screen.

Step 2

Type in the website URL and click on go.

Step 3

After opening the website click on "Pin To Start".

Step 4

Enter the website name and click "Pin to Start".

Step 5

Open the Start Screen and the website name will be shown in the Start Screen.
