Enable Windows Explorer Animation in Windows 8

Introduction

As we know Animation is an attractive way to represent data in a systematic and easy way. Hence Windows 8 is constructed with many user-friendly features and characteristics. The Animation feature is one such notification feature. These features are helpful for easily accessing a folder. Hence sometimes it is necessary to enable these notifications.

So in this article we will learn how to enable the Windows Explorer Animation in Windows 8.

Step 1

First of all we have to move to the Start screen window of Windows 8.

Step 2

Then move the cursor on the bottom-right of the window screen and click the search box which is helpful to search in Windows 8.

Step 3

Then in the search box type "gpedit.msc" and click on Apps from the right sidebar then click gpedit.msc in the main window.

Step 4

On performing this task a new window will appear labeled with Local Group Policy Editor.

Step 5

Once the Local Group Policy is opened then use the following path:

User Configuration << Administrative Template << Windows Component << Desktop Windows Manager

Step 6

Then under Desktop Windows Manager just double-click or right-click on Do Not Allow Windows Animation.

Step 7

When you click on the edit policy setting a dialog box labeled with Do Not Allow Windows Animation will appear.

Step 8

Now at the top there are Not Configured, Enabled and Disabled options available. To enable Windows Explorer Animation for all users in Windows 8 just select Disable from the list and click OK .
