How to Resize the Image Using Paint in Windows 8

Introduction

When we open an image in Microsoft Paint we have options to resize the image. Actually there are two ways to resize an image, one is by percentage and the second is by pixels. To make it easy for beginners to understand we will use the percentage to resize an image.

In this article we will see some steps and screenshots that shows the procedure to resize an image in Windows 8 .

Steps to Resize an image

Step 1

First, all we have to do is to move on the start window screen in Windows 8.

Then click on the desktop icon on the Windows 8 start screen.

Then right-click on the image which you want to open and select "open with" PAINT.

Step 4

When you open the image with Paint, in the image toolbar there is an option to resize the image as follows:

Step 5

Now as we can see, we have the resize and skew option; click on it and enter the number to which you wish to resize the image. If we enter 50% horizontally and vertically then this reduces the image size by 50%.

Step 6

Once you have entered the vertical and horizontal size, click on OK to get the resized image.
