Introduction
As we know, Windows 8 provides the ability to remove the Recycle Bin from the Desktop. If we want to restrict users from removing the Recycle Bin from the Desktop for some reason, we can do that using the "Local Group Policy Editor" ("gpedit.msc") and the "regedit" command. However by default it is enabled for users to remove the recycle bin from the Desktop in Windows 8.
Hence in this article we will learn how to restrict the user from removing the Recycle Bin from the Desktop. We will do that using the "Local Group Policy Editor" . We can do it another way using the "Registry Editor". So just use the to restrict the user from removing the recycle bin from the Desktop in Windows 8.
How to Restrict the User From Removing the Recycle Bin From the Desktop
Step 1
First of all we have to move to the Start Screen window of Windows 8.

Then move the cursor on the bottom-right of the window screen and click the "search box" which is helpful to search in Windows 8.

Then in the search box type "gpedit.msc" and click on Apps from the right sidebar then click "gpedit.msc" in the main window.

A new window will then appear on your screen labeled "Local Group Policy Editor" as shown in the following image:

In User Configuration choose subcategory Administrative Template and click on the Desktop and click on the "Remove Recycle Bin Icon From Desktop".

Now right-click on "Remove Recycle Bin Icon From Desktop" and select the "Edit" tab and click on it.

In this step, just click on the "Disable "or" Not Configured" Button to restrict the user from removing the Recycle Bin Icon from the Desktop and click on the "Apply" or "Ok" Button.
