Introduction
In today's article you will learn how to install the Fax Server on Windows Server 2012.
Step 1
First, login to your Windows server 2012 as Administrator. When you have lgged in the Server Manager will be opened automatically, if it doesn't open then you must open it manually.
Now in the Server Manager click on the Manage Button to open the "Add Roles and Features" to add the new feature.
Step 2
Now a new window will be opened in which a few instructions would be given, click on Next.
Step 3
Now you will be asked for the "Installation type" from which you must select the first option and then click on Next.
Step 4
Now you must select the server from the Server Pool. Since I have only one server in the Server pool, my server is selected by default.
After selecting the server click on Next.
Step 5
Now a List of "Rolls" will appear in front of you, scroll down to find the option "Fax Server".
As you click on the Fax Server a new window will be opened that will ask you to Add the Features, click on "Add Features".
Step 6
Now a list of features will be available for selection, you can select any feature you want to install and then click on Next or simply click on Next without selecting any feature.
The next page will show you information about the Fax Server, it will also tell you that, to set up a Fax Server, you must also set up the Print Server that I described in my previous article named How To Install Print Server.
Step 7
The next page gives information about the Print and Document Services, here simply click on Next.
Now "Roll Services" will be available for "Print and Document Services". Select all of them and click on Next.
Step 8
Now a confirmation page will be opened, where you can give permission to restart the server if required or you can click on Install without giving permission to restart the server.
As you click on Install the installation will begin that will take time, depending on the processing power of your system.
