Step 1
Open your Windows 7 and right-click on the Computer Icon shown on the Desktop to get the Properties.
Open the Properties; this will take you to Control Panel of the System.

There is another way to reach the Control Panel of the System. Click on the Start Button provided at the TaskBar and click on Control Panel.
Now in the Control Panel click on the System.
Step 3
Now the Control Panel of the System will be opened. Here on the Left hand side click on the Advanced System Settings.
Now the System Properties will be opened. Here go to the Computer Name. Here click on the Change Button.
Step 4
Now a new window will be opened asking for the computer name and Workgroup. Provide the computer's name and Workgroup name.
After providing the required information click on the "OK" button. As you click on the "OK" button, however, a message will be shown on your screen that will prompt you for the Local Administrator's Password to access your System because when you restart your system, your system will allow Access to Administrators only.
Step 5
Now you must provide the User Name and Password for the Account that has the permission to remove the computer from the Domain.
Then you provide the User Name and Password and click on the "OK" button. Your system will ask for permission to restart your system to apply the changes.
