Delhi Chapter Meet January 17, 2016: Official Recap

The C# Corner Delhi Chapter recently hosted an event on Step by Step ASP.NET MVC at C# Corner, Noida. I want to share with you some of the event highlights.

I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire team, and, of course, all of the attendees for attending the event.

Registration started at 10:30 AM. More than 100 developers arrived at the C# Corner Noida office. The event was a half-day workshop on ASP.NET MVC and was kicked off by me.

I am a recipient of the prestigious Microsoft MVP award for the last six years consecutively, and a seven-time C# Corner MVP. The topics I taught focused on ASP.NET MVC, keeping in mind the current market needs. I succeeded in creating an interactive environment that will surely help students and professionals get started with MVC. The feedback of the attendees painted a bigger picture about their eagerness to learn MVC.

Here are the topics I focused on:
  • What is ASP.NET MVC
  • Understanding Routing
  • Understanding Model and ViewModel
  • Understanding Controller and Action
  • Understanding Views
  • Getting data into the application using Database First approach
  • Getting data into the application using Code First approach
  • Understanding ViewData, ViewBag
  • Understanding TempData , TempData Keep, TempData Keep and Pick
  • Introducing ASP.NET Identity 2.0 for authentication and authorization
  • Writing Unit Test for controller

After that, the much-awaited C# Annual Conference 2016 agenda was announced offline for the first time. The agenda will be uploaded on the website in the coming days.

Once again, I would like to thank all the attendees present at the C# Corner Delhi Chapter, Noida and C# Corner Team for making the event a great success. I hope for even more attendees in the future.
