Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are pre-loaded with many Windows Store apps. These apps may be the reason you're running out of space on your PC. If you're a developer like me, you're most likely in the desktop mode and hardly use any of these Windows Store apps.
Here is the procedure you can use to free up some storage space on your PC.
Use Win+Q to search and type disk clean in the search text box.
Select Free up disk space on this PC option from the search results.
On the next screen, you will see how much space is available and how much is taken by the apps, media files and recycle bin. Of course you want to empty your recycle bin.
Then, you want to check what apps you don't need and uninstall them. On my machine, I just freed up over 3GB space by removing apps I wasn't using at all.
Click on See my app sizes on the preceding step.
You will see a list of the apps with their sizes.
Click on the App you don't want and click the Uninstall button.
Cheers!
