8 from your MSDN or TechNet account now. Windows 8 will be available to public
on Oct 26.

There are three keys you need to focus on when searching for
files, apps and settings on Windows 8.
Find Files
To find files, hit WIN+F and type a file name you are
looking for.

To find apps, hit WIN+Q. Apps will search all the
applications installed on Windows 8. Let's not confuse apps with Windows Store
apps.
