Introduction
In Microsoft Windows 10, DPI (Dots per inch) is the physical measurement of the quantity of individual dots that may be located in a line in the span of one inch. DPI setting controls the scale of the textual content, apps and icons.
A lower DPI setting will lead them to seem smaller and a higher placing will lead them to appear large. With the default, home Windows has an environment of 96 DPI.
There are three methods to change DPI scaling.
Change DPI scaling for display
To change the DPI scaling for display in setting an Application, you can follow the steps given below.
Step 1
In this step, you can right-click on your desktop empty area and select the Display settings.
Step 2
In this step, when you will select the display settings, the new dialogue box opens.
Step 3
In this step, you can customize your display and change the size of the text, apps and other items. You can select and move the slider left or right to the DPI percentage on which you want to set your display.
Change the DPI scaling in Control Panel
Step 1
In this step, you can right-click on the start icon and select the control panel.
Step 2In this step, when you open control panel, you can select the display and change the size of the item.
Step 3
In this step, you can select set a custom scaling level.
Step 4
In this step, when you can select set custom scaling level, drag the ruler left or right to the scaling percentage that you want. Alternatively, you can select the scaling percentage that you want in the drop-down list and then click OK button. Sign out to change the settings.
Change DPI scaling level for display registry settings
Step 1
In this step, you can press a combination of Window key + R key and then type Regedit. Subsequently, click enter.
Step 2
In this step, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
Step 3
In the right side pane, you can find Win8DpiScaling and set the value to 1 and close registry editor.
Restart your computer now.
