How To Customize The Start Menu In Windows 10

Introduction

The Start Menu is back and better than ever. Start menu is one of the most important features in Windows 10. You will use the Start Menu to access applications, folders, and many more functions. In windows 10, the start menu offers some new features.

In earlier versions of Windows, like Windows 7, the start menu was confined to a narrow column. In Windows 8, the start menu was replaced with the start screen.

Now, in Windows 10, the start menu is really easy to use.

 

 

Rearrange Tiles

In Windows 10, you can rearrange the tiles on start menu.

 

If you want to make bigger or smaller tiles, you can right-click on the tiles, select resize,and choose the size of tiles that you want.

Pin and Unpin Tiles

If you want to add a tile to Start Menu, you can follow these steps.

1. Click the Start button.
   
   
   
   
2. Open all apps.
   
   
   
   
3. Choose the app that you want to pin on Start Menu and then right-click on the app and select Pin to Start. In this step, we will pin the camera app.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Now, if you want to unpin the camera app from Start Menu, you can right-click on the camera tile and select Unpin from Start.
   
   
   
   
   

Turn off live Tiles

Some tiles are animated, such as Weather apps, News apps and other apps i.e. called live tiles. If you want to turn off the live tiles, you can choose the live tile that you want to turn off and right-click on it and select the Turn Live Tile off option.
