How To Get a Free Visual Studio/ Azure Subscription

Here I will explain  how to get a free Azure / Visual Studio  subscription for 1 year with a limited balance for every month. So don’t waste a single moment and create your own subscription. Microsoft has the Visual Studio Dev Essentials Program to give developers everything they need to get started building and deploying apps on any platform, for free.

Microsoft gives this benefits for Dev Essential members,

• $300 in Azure Credit – You can now enjoy $25/month credit for 12 months
• Visual studio access – get all important applications and learning tutorial access like Pluralsight and other.

Required Prerequisites to get this membership,

1. You need one Microsoft account
2. You will need a debit / credit card for your identity verification.

Follow the below steps to become a Dev Essentials Program member.

Step 1

Go to below URL,

You will land on the below page.

Step 2

Click on “Join or access now >” button

Step 3

After successfully logging in to your account you will need to provide more details to complete the process.


Step 4

You need to click on “Accept” terms and conditions from Microsoft

Here you need to accept all points and read all the benefits 

Step 5

Click on “Confirm” button to continue.

Step 6

Once you confirm T&C you will become a member of he Visual Studio essentials program. Then you can access the below free Microsoft tools and services.

Step 7

You can also get free limited subscription of online learning tutorials as listed below, including Pluralsight, Opsgility etc.

To get Azure limited free subscription for 1 year click on “Activate” link and then complete the process.

As part of verification it will ask you to provide all your details with a debit / credit card. You don’t need to worry here. It will just debit two rs. From your account but it will be credited back to your account the same day.

Once you complete this process and verification, you will be ready to use your Azure subscription. Happy learning.
