In our computer system, we have a thousand or more types of files and it's difficult to open a file with a compatible program. We will solve this problem by adding our program to the default list.
Let’s start. There are a few steps which you have to follow to add the program in the default list.
Step 1 - Open start menu and select setting icon.
Step 2 - Select system icon to explore more icons.
Step 3 - After clicking on system icon, you can select many options and select default apps.

Step 4 - Now, you can select “set defaults by app”.
Step 5 - New Window form opens, select app and click on set this program as default to make it default.
Finally, the selected app is added into the default program list, given in the screenshot.
