Here, we are building a flow that can save and track the Facebook wall messages in an Excel table automatically.

Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website and service where users can post comments, share photographs and links to the news or other interesting content on the web, play games, chat live, and even stream live videos. The shared content can be made publicly accessible, or it can be shared only among a select group of friends or family, or with a single person. Log in to the Facebook from here.

Excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. It features calculations, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications.

How to create a Microsoft Flow for saving the Facebook Posts to the Excel sheet

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Account – Corporate ID.
  • Facebook Account.
  • MS Office.

Follow the below steps to build a Flow using a template.

Step 1

Log in to www.flow.microsoft.com.

Here is the dashboard.

Step 2

Choose the Templates menu from the menu bar.

Search for Facebook in the search bar and choose "Track Facebook wall messages in an Excel table".



Now, click on the "Use this template" button.

Step 3

Configure by signing in to Facebook and giving it permission to access our accounts.

Step 4

Next, we need to sign into Excel.

We will choose the Dropbox option here to create a new connection.

Now, both, Facebook and Excel, are connected to the flow. Just choose "Continue".

Step 5

Next, we need to configure Facebook and Excel. Choose File Name and Table Name for saving the Facebook post to the Excel Filename.

Choose Column 1 and Column 2.

Flow is created successfully.

 

Output

For testing, post on Facebook.

 

Now, the post should be saved in the Excel sheet in Dropbox.
