How To Use Settings App In Windows 10

Introduction

Settings menu app is the new look of Control Panel in Windows 10. Settings is the hub for your device’s basics settings. In the settings menu, you’ll see some components are System, Devices, Network and Internet, Personalization, Accounts, Time and Languages, Ease of Access, Privacy and Update & Security.

System

In Windows 10, the System tab allows you to change the settings related to Display, Notification & Icon, Apps & Features, Multitasking, Tablet mode, Battery saver, Power & Sleep, Storage, Offline maps, Default apps, About.

Devices

In Windows 10, the Devices tab allows you to manage the settings related to Printer & Scanner, Connected Devices, Bluetooth, Mouse and Touchpad, Typing, and Auto-play.

 

 

Network & Internet

This tab allows you to manage the network settings, like Wi-Fi, Airplane mode, Data usage, VPN, Dial-up, and Proxy.

Personalization

In this tab, the system allows you to change your background and the colors of the taskbar. You can also change the background of the Lock screen and select the theme settings. You can choose the theme that you want. The most important option in Personalization is the “Start”. In this option, you can turn ON or OFF the most used apps, show recently added apps, use start in full screen, show recently opened items in jump lists on start, or the taskbar.

Accounts

In this tab, you can manage your accounts and sign-in options, like changing your password, image password, PIN, and other related settings. Work access option is used to connect the shared resources, like work or school, and manage settings for users and family and sync your settings.

 

Time and Language

In this tab, you are allowed to change Date and Time, Region and Language, and Speech.

Ease of Access

In this tab, you can utilize different accessibility features, like Narrator, Magnifier, High contrast, and closed captions, Keyboard, Mouse and other Options.

Privacy

Privacy tab allows you to change the privacy related settings, like Location, Camera, Account information, Microphone and more.

Update and Security

In this tab, Windows update allows you to keep the Operating System up to date and the Window defender option provides real-time protection and other types of protection as well. Windows defender is Microsoft's own anti-malware tool.

Backup and Recovery option allows you to backup your files and folders to any drive.

You can check your version of Windows on your device and the activation status chooses the Window Activation option.
