Prerequisites
Now, let's get started with the following steps:
Sign in to the online Microsoft Azure Portal.

On the left banner, click BROWSE >> SQL databases.

In the Settings blade, click Transparent data encryption part to open the Transparent data Encryption blade.

Encryption Enable
In the data encryption blade, toggle the Data encryption button to On, and then, click Save (at the top of the page) to apply the setting.

The Encryption status will approximate the progress of the transparent data encryption.

Disabling the Encryption
In the Data encryption blade, toggle the Data encryption button to Off, and then click Save (at the top of the page) to apply the setting.
