After configuring the Workflow Manager 1.0, now I have to Install the Workflow Manager Client 1.0 CU 3 on all the SharePoint Servers. Workflow Manager Client is the key component which should be available on all SharePoint servers. Workflow Manager Client 1.0 and Workflow Manager Tools 1.0 for Visual Studio 2012 contain core assemblies, activities, and client APIs used to develop and run Workflow Manager 1.0 applications.

This is a very important component of the Workflow Manager, if we miss it then workflow will fail with unexpected errors.

Note

If workflow manager is already installed on the server then there is no need to install the Workflow Manager Client on the server as it is already installed on the server (part of the Workflow Manger).

Let’s start the installation Process of the Workflow Manager Client 1.0 CU 3.

Login on the SharePoint Server with Installation account,
Open the Microsoft Web Plate Form Installer 5.0, if it's not installed on the server
Now start
Go to Start and on the top right click on Search Icon
Type the Web Plate Form Installer in the Search Box and click it.
It will load the Web Platform Installer like this.
On this page type Workflow Manager on top right hand side.
Click On Workflow Manager Client 1.0 Cumulative Update 3 and Click Add
Click on I Accept
Wait for Several Minutes
Please Click Finish

Now repeat the same steps for all remaining SharePoint 2016 servers in the Farm. If you missed a single server in the farm, then Workflow will see the difficulties.

This completes the installation of the Workflow Manager Client on SharePoint servers. Now we will move to register the Workflow proxy.
