Building Mobile Applications using JQuery Mobile
Recently, I wrote a blog on building
a single mobile app that targets all mobile platforms using PhoneGap. But
there is one more player out there that might beat PhoenGap. This new player is
JQuery Mobile.
JQuery Mobile 1.0 was
launched recently and it makes sense for JQuery and Web developers to take advantage
of already familiar technology. JQuery Mobile is a unified, HTML 5 based user
interface system for all popular mobile device platforms. Recently, the team
posted a blog saying the version 1.0 is rock
solid and ready to use.
Here is a list of some of the supported platforms.

I just read a good article in MSDN magazine, Getting Started
with Mobile Development using HTML 5, JQuery Mobile, and ASP.NET MVC 4.0 that
talks about HTML 5, ASP.NET MVC 4 and JQuery Mobile and how to build mobile
applications that target multiple platforms and devices including smart phones
and tablets.
HTML
5 is one of the most talked technologies. Check out more articles, blogs
and tutorials about HTML
5 here. If you are new to JQuery, you may want to start learning JQuery here.
