If you just got a new Windows 8.1 PC and signed into Skype and don't know how to close Skype or Logout, you're screwed.
By mistake, I logged onto Skype on my new Windows
8.1 PC and now every time I get a call on my laptop or phone, Skype on my PC also makes
noise.
I was reading on support.skype.com website and
there is no way to signing out from Skype.
WOW! What a dumb design?
This is what Skype.com website says:
“If you're signed in to Windows 8
with your Microsoft account, you can't sign out of Skype.
But if you don't want to be disturbed, simply set your Skype status to
invisible, and nobody will see you online.”
And continues..
“If you want to sign in to Skype for Windows 8
with a different Skype name, you can easily create another Windows 8 user
account and sign in to Skype with that name.”
So if you want to close Skype, try ALT+F4.
You may also want to turn live tiles option off
by clicking or touching Skype, selecting Live Tiles Off at the bottom of the
screen.
