How to Translate Word Documents in a Document Library in Office 365 & SharePoint 2013

Welcome to an article on ‘How to Translate Word Documents in a document library in Office 365 & SharePoint 2013’. Our users find it difficult to directly translate their Word documents through a library ratherthan copying the content in translate to copy. So rather than pointing to a third party tool or browser translate, we have that on our own SharePoint 2013 and on Office 365 document libraries.

Let’s see how a user can translate a Word file through the library.

  • Upload a word file to a document library.

    DOCUMENT

  • Click on the document to open the Word file.

    WORD

  • You will see the menu option on the right corner of the document.
  • Click on the icon as shown by the arrow.

    TRANSLATE

  • Click on Translate.
  • The translate dialog box will open as the screen below.

    WORD

  • Choose a translation language from the list below.

    LANGUAGE

  • Select a language and click on OK. I selected Spanish.
  • You can see the screen below, my document is translated.
