The required feature is not enabled for this column type when created Managed Metadata column in SharePoint 2010 blank site

Problem:

I have created a site collection in SharePoint 2010 using Blank Site template. I have a document library in which I tried adding a metadata column. But I was seeing the following message in the Term Set Settings section as shown in the following

 

This is because in the blank site Taxonomy Feature (Site Collection Hidden Feature) is not activated.

How to Resolve:

1. Go to Start menu.
2. Go to SharePoint 2010 Management Shell and select Run as Administrator.
3. In the command prompt, type the following command.

Enable-SPFeature -id 73EF14B1-13A9-416b-A9B5-ECECA2B0604C -URL http://servername:11111/sites/BlankSite/
