About text box autofill and retrieve data

Question

Hai all
i need to autofill the textbox againest database.and when user clicks "go" button then the respected record will be appear.my problem is at button click event.the button event can't retrieve the record as per search. im not able to provide the code sorry for that.can you suggest me

for this you have to send the textbox value to database in button click to get the corresponding data. example: Depttable: id name loc pincode 10 devlopment india 5004 20 reserch usa 654 in front end means aspx page: one textbox one button and one gridview. in textbox you will enter the id and the click on button to show the data in grid; so in button click event write your code like this SqlConnection Con = new SqlConnection(your connectionstring); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(select * from Depttable where id= ' + textBox1.Text + ' con); SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); da.Fill(ds); con.Close(); gridview1.DataSource = ds; gridview1.DataBind(); it just a sample. if any doubt reply.
