best File transfer Classes

Question

Hi. looking for a class which will simply take a file and send to a remote user and receive anything at the same time.. I have a small application which sends these files periodically. Sometimes the file are > 1MB and find FTP is very slow.. have looked at SuperComm and bigspeed but again these are very slow for what I require.. It's not a bandwidth problem... any help appreciated. I don't think there is a magic class that takes care of transferring files for you. In the System.Net namespace there is a FileWebRequest class but I'm not sure how to use it. It would appear to me that you are trying to find a fast way to transfer files is all. And if FTP is too slow for you then you might try to create a TCP server-client system that works in a similar way to FTP. You would probably need a directory listing and then a way to get bytes from the remote system to the client system. You could use TCP sockets for this. Any way maybe you could provide more details on exactly what you are trying to do.
