Build Problem

Question

Hi I'm currently modifying a .dll sample project in Visual C# Express. The program code seems to edit OK but when I build it it always builds from the original code and not the new code. I've allowed auto setting of versions and it produces a new version number but not new code. Could the original Project be locked somehow. Other projects I've built don't have same problem. New to Visual Studio any help appreciated.

Solved the problem thanks. I originally compiled/built the dll on an XP netbook I was using as my Windows 7/64 machine wouldn't run the host software that the dll was to be used with. I have just tried building it on the Windows 7 machine and transferring it over and it worked fine with file changes showing up. Don't know what the issue was on the netbook. Might try reloading Visual Studio.

How do you determine that it always builds from the original code? Is it because you don't get the modifications during execution? It might be building okay but you execute the old code.
