[c#] How do you make the mic sound go through the speakers?

Hi I'm not very good at programming.. I need help with my c# program. How to record sound from microphone to do fourier transform and hear the sound after transform from speakers. What kind of library can i use? Thank you in advance for help.

I think the CodePlex library which Sam was referring to is NAudio ( http://naudio.codeplex.com/ ).

That article uses MCI which is relatively old technology that was initially developed in 16-bit Windows. DirectX is newer; it was developed for 32-bit Windows. Actually DirectX was not initially developed by Microsoft; Microsoft bought some third-party software and then improved it and called it DirectX. Unfortunately the managed classes for DirectX don't work real well. So you have various choices. If MCI works for you then use it. Or you can try to get managed DirectX too work. Or you can find samples of using un managed DirectX and use that. Or there are other libraries; I think someone recently posted a link (in Nicole's thread) to something in Codeplex.
