Calling two functions at the same time

Question

Hello I have two functions. The 1st function is doing some processing. I want to capture the time when the 1st functions is called(exact)(this will be my second function-it actually captures time when 1st function is called). We can do this in sequential steps but I want to do it in same time. No computation delay. I wanna know is there is any way where we can call the two functions at the same time..... Thanks Aniketh

I agree with Mahesh. If all you want is the time that the function was started that can easily be gotten without the use of another function.

You won't be able to call two functions at the same time unless you have a multi-processor machine and in coding you must have to assign Processor 1 executing first function and Processor 2 executing second function. Programming in general works in sequential order where program control goes from one line of code (one instruction) to another if you have a single processor. It seems like you just need the time of execution of your first function. What you should do is call DateTime.Now in your first finction at the very top of the line of the function code and return that time as a return value or return parameter and you will get exact time your first function started executing. You won't need a second function.
