Code Functionality

Question

I was read about code review  and I found that one of main areas a reviewer is focusing on : Functionality Issues But I don't know what is mean?  how can I check if the code meet functionality or not? what is the item that I check for ? Can any one help ?

The basic thing is you need to separate each functionality in to different method. For example if you have an application which would retrieve data from UI and updated into db. Here you need to write separate your validations  business rules  database connectivity etc and code will be clean and more readable . Each method should have specific functionality and you need to validate each method using unit test.
