Default Form Load

Question

Hello I have several forms in my application but when I run my application a blank form appears. I haven't found a way of determining how I choose what the default form to load is when the application is run. I could do it in Visual Studio 2005 but need to do it in Visual Studio 2010. Thanks

Mamta: You said  select your startup form the one which has a Main method  and my comment was that  Forms don't have a Main method . Yes form applications have a Main and what I said is not inconsistent with that.

Sam a Windows Forms application does have a Main() method it's hidden away in the Program.cs. The Application.Run which you mention is in fact present in the Main method in Program.cs. Yes in my answer I meant Startup object and not Startup Project which I typed out in a hurry. So the Startup object needs to be set in the Project properties to point to the class which holds the Main which in this case will be Program.cs.

Mamta: Forms don't have a Main method. Also when you say Startup Project do you mean Startup Object? I don't think that forms are listed as startup objects for C#.

Look in the Program.cs file; it has a line such as Application .Run( new Form1 ()); The Form1 is the initial form and the application will exit when the form is closed.

Click the Project menu and open the Properties window. Under Application section you will find Startup Project dropdown. There select your startup form the one which has a Main method.
