Error in validating textbox

Question

For Validating the MinLengthTest for a textbox i used the following coding their is an error showing :"THE NAME 'txtMinLengthTest ' does not exist in the current context.Please resolve my problem where i need to initialize this 'txtMinLengthTest '

In that case it won't be wired up to the Validated event and so won't fire anyway even when you've sorted out the other problem. What I suggest you do is this: 1. Delete the txtMinLengthTest_Validated method after first copying the code to (say) notepad. 2. Select the TextBox and go to its Properties Box. 3. If it's current name is not txtMinLengthTest then change it so that it is. 4. Still within the Properties Box switch to the Events tab (lightning bolt symbol). 5. Locate the Validated event and double click it. 6. This will insert an empty eventhandler called txtMinLengthTest_Validated into your code but this time it will be wired up to the event. 7. Copy the code from the original txtMinLengthTest_Validated method to the new one and rebuild.

What name does the textbox have in the Properties Box? How did you add the txtMinLengthTest_Validated eventhandler - did you add it via the events list in the Properties Box or did you simply type it in?
