error occur in serial key validation during installation

Question

I create the setup with the serial key & for validation of the key i have written function for validation.
i have all .dll & msi.lib

but i got the error as:
error : unresolved external symbol "unsigned int __stdcall MsiSetPropertyW(unsigned long,wchar_t const *,wchar_t const *)" (?MsiSetPropertyW@@YGIKPB_W0@Z) referenced in function "unsigned int __stdcall VerifyPID(unsigned long)" (?VerifyPID@@YGIK@Z) testdll.obj testdll</pre>

so how can i solve the problem?

It means that you have the #include specified properly but you don't have the library (lib) file that is needed in your project. I assume that there is no message saying that the library cannot be found. If you had a little bit of experience with the use of DLLs in C++ then you would easily solve this problem. Look at the MsiSetProperty Function documentation. It says you need the Msi.lib library. You need to add that to the list of libraries for the project. If you ask this question in another forum and don't get answers then it is because there is such an abundance of answers in books tutorials articles and documentation that questions such as this are often ignored.
