Genertaing dynamic fileupload controls

Question

hi

i have a page like generating reports according to task wise.the page have a dropdown list fro selecting the task..every task has start date and end date.

when user select the task according to the difference between dates i want to generate the the that different file upload controls..if the difference is 7 days 7 upload ocntrols will be present..once one file is uploaded that control is disabled.. and that file will be saved in local folder of project

plz help me writing this code

Instead of generating Report1 Report2 and so on you can try this as follows string fname = Report; fname = fname + Guid.NewGuid(); So a unique file will get generated.

the code working 5n...the problem is panel is written inside the updatepanelthats why the count is not getting..i have a problem i want to change the report names.. for example there three fileupload controls then i want to change the names as report1report2report 3 like that..bcz if some other person give the same names it might be problem..

Oh then HttpFileCollection uploadFilCol = Request.Files; does not getting any file count from the File upload controls may be check it out from any one of your colleague but the code is same as per i given

Can you tell are you getting count as 7 in Request.Files or null . If you are getting null value means you are not getting the file count

uploadFilCol.Count is nothing but the total file upload controls available on your form can you post what you written on button click.

iam also cretaed the folder.in ur code uploadFilCol.Count is getting 7 but in my code the code is not going to inside the loop..but date difference is geteting correct and file upload controils also created dynamically correct also... 	he reports are not saving ion folder

Do you want to create the folder and save or to save to the folder available. My code works as i have created the folder. If you would like to create the folder dynamically means then the process is different. Once refresh the folder if available and check once.

u r code is working fine.when modified in my code the count is coming zero..file upload controls are creating sucessfully..but when uploading its not working fine...the new folder is not cretaing and documents are not saving in the folder

First of all tell me are you getting the File upload controls as per you required. If so then my code will works perfectly. You have written this in your code datediff = UBLOBJ.GetDateDifference(UPOBJ); means you are getting the count if controls are properly getting as per your code then there is no issue with the code so first confirm whether you are getting the controls correctly or not

the code u sent in rar file is working fine..when it is applied to my code its not working..the uploadFilCol.Count is not coming..but in ur coding it is taking as 7.. u r declared default the datediff is 7.in my code it is coming form datbase so wher i can modify to get uploadFilCol.Count is also 7..

I don't know what you are doing if you tried my code as per i stated in my second reply using DIV's you will get the required solution you needed. As per your code the file upload will not be shown on the form as you are creating it dynamically. If i am wrong post you sample form that is having the file upload controls as per your condition

file upload controls are succesfully created..but my problem is how to identify that..and that reports will be submitted by all fille upload controls will be saved in local folder.. how to identify the dynamically crated controls and that reports will be saved in local folders

It is difficult to show like this i think so. What if the user selects January 1 2011 as start date and 31-12-2011 as end date. you would like to show that many controls or there any restrictions in selecting date.
