Get Data using Joins in sqlserver

Question

i get data from two tables using inner join. appId versionId 115 1 115 2 115 3 116 1 116 2 but i want to get data in below format appId versionId 115 3 116 2 get highest version id records with appid here appid and version id both are in different tables. Regards Nanda Kishore.CH

@Nanda appId and versionId both are in different tables. then what is unique column for both tables. you must show the table structure or column fields then only we can give the query.

you said here appid and version id both are in different tables. then you need to post the table structure for someone to help you write the query I can suggest you following without looking at your table structure: add the following where condition in your query: where versionId = (select max(versionId) from VersionTable where VersionTable.appId = appid_from_main_query)
