GridView - Paging

Question

I am having an issue with paging in a Gridview. I am doing the paging manually, similar to how datagrid works by doing it manually.

I see the next/previous buttons in the development environment but when I go to run the app, it doesnt show the buttons. It is paging because it is only showing the number of records I request per page but I dont see the actual controls to page through the different pages.

PagerSetting.Visible is set to true. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hi Daniel. Thanks for your response. But I dont seem to see the EnableCustomPaging property anywhere in the Gridview. Where would this property be? I looked at an article that talked about handling your own paging and it seemed to point to handling your own next and previous buttons as well as the events. Maybe it is a case of me handling the buttons as well as the events behind the paging. Thanks again. Jim Van Dick

Hi Jim:I suspect the problem is being caused by the ALLOW CUSTOM PAGING checkbox control which i believe is checked on your application.Uncheck it then ensure the checkbox ALLOW PAGING is checked then write your code to allow paging.Hope it works
