Want to Switch in IOT please give suggestion

Hi,

 

I am .net developer and I have 1.6 years of experience in .net development. But now I want to learn IOT and I am also interested to switch in it.  but  is it good for my career??  because in this field I am starting from level 0.

 

Plzz give proper suggestion.
