How can we remove cache in asp.net

Question

hello guys how r u ?

i am working on a project and creating the registration form but the problem is that when i click the submit button the data is being submit successfully but if i press the refresh button of the browser the same data is being submit in database again

so how can i over come on this bug in asp.net

Hi I suggest you to try the following code in Page_Load() Event : Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache); Or Try  Add the tag in head tag and page load Response.Cache.SetAllowResponseInBrowserHistory(False) Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache) Response.Cache.SetExpires(Now().AddSeconds(-1)) Response.Cache.SetNoStore() Response.AddHeader(Pragma no-cache) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If this post helps you then Only mark as Correct Answer Thank You

i said that was not logical way i mean is any programmatically solution or is there any property like to clear cache of the browser because after click on submit button the data will be submit in the database and the all fields will be empty so when i m refreshing the same page the same data is being submit again i mean from where its getting values when all fields are emtpy after submit that mean the same values are getting from the cache right ? so if i m doing this way like to redirecting again same page so i think thats not the proper solution i mean there should be any method or property or class to handle such kind of situation...

Hi Faisal Why do you think the solution provided by Suthish is not logical? Alternative ways is to prevent this at the database level by checking if this data already exist or by creating hidden/viewstate variable (datetimestamp) and compare this with Session variable (datetimestamp) on the server to see if request is same or different. Just clear all the fields or do a full redirection to the same page again...
