Question

Hi I have not worked in any big company or in a team. So would like to know as to how do they decide where they need to use inheritanceencapsulationinterfaceabstract classes... How is this planned?? Who all plan this? And what is business layer? 1 tier2 tier3 teir architecture.

If its an existing project most of the big companies I have worked with already have guidelines and you just follow them if you are a late addition to the team. If it is a new project then the Architect with Tech Lead decide what approach to use to build a project. The decision is usually made by somebody who is expert in that field. If the perosn is not an expert then chances are trim for a project to be successful. As per inheritance encapsulation and other concepts go they usually play major role in building components and libraries. In commercial projects such as a large website you might not need some of them. You can simply use MVP or some other frameworks and just follow the guidelines.

Evidently no one around here knows how it is done in a big company. I don't know. Most big companies have standards of some type. It might be described somewhat in standards but it is probably difficult to describe complex technical subjects in standards that management can also undersand. Many companies have peer reviews and Quality Assurance personnel and things like that.
