how to add filter on table in sqlserver 2000...

Question

hi....i have a table with data ....now i want to apply filter on that table emp_mast...actually my table contains a column with job...it contains clerk and manager...i wnt only clerks list without using where clause...if i use where clause i have to change in all my forms ...so,i need a filter which displays only clerks list...if i write a query "select * from emp_mast" which displays only clerks list...bcz the table has filter on it...how to add filter like dat..plz explain me...its urgent

Hi Vijay Krish If you query select * from emp_mast it will display the entire records in the table only there is no such way to add filter like that. The best option is to create a  View  with the same name so there is no need to keep making the changes in the forms. Just rename your table emp_mast and create a view with the same name. Hope this answers your question.
