How to bring panel with controls to the front

Question

I am using VS 2005. Is there a way to bring a panel with all control on that panel to the front to edit. I can bring a panel to front by selecting the property, but the controls on the panel do not come to the front. I have several panels overlapped so I need to be able to bring a panel to the front with its controls to make modifications easily.

I had the same issue with the Visual Studio 2008. I tried the trick from your answer but it did not work for me. I will greatly appreciate that if you can provide me with other solution. Thanks in advance!

It definately seems tricky. Once I select the panel I want in the combo box the panel comes to front where you can resize. The border has the controls to resize but is not highlighted like when you click the + in the upper left hand corner of the panel. Selecting Bring to front does not seem to do anything. When I select the + I do see the controls displayed but at this point if you right click while clicking on the + there is no context menu that comes up. Seems like Microsoft should have just brought the panel with all controls on that panel to the front if it was selected in the combo box.

You can do this by going to the Property editor combo box and selecting the panel you want to work on. When the panel is highlighted click on the highlighted border surrounding it and right click then select the Bring to front option. Its a little tricky make sure you click on the border and look in the combo box and be sure its the one you want. Mike
