how to call data model using mvc

The error is pretty much self-explanatory. That means you are trying to insert a null value for UserName field which doesn't accept nulls. I'd suggest you to debug your code and set a break point so you'll know why the parameter is null

You are passing a userbame = null value to this function. Check if the value being not null before insert statement
