How to create solutions in VS 2010 for sharepoint 2007?

Question

I am using Visual Studio 2010 and want to create web pages/ web parts for sharepoint 2007. There aren't any templates for those. The only templates available for SharePoint 2007 are workflows ones.
There are plenty for SharePoint 2010, but VS won't let me use those as I don't have the required SharePoint server installed.
Any suggestions?

Hi Wiliam Working with Visual studio 2010 is almost similar to the visual studio with lower version.Visual studio2010 introduce mapping of sharepointroot folder instead of direct 12 hive folder.So if you want to create a webpart or any custom feature. 1.create webpart by simply going to New->New Project->Select empty sharePoint project. 2.Right click on solution and add new->select webpart. 3.Now simple write your code for webpart. 4.Build your project. 5.Create package(.wsp) and deploy your solution. Do you have an old project? I had one old project and I opened in VS 2010 and made the changes.
