How to download Visual Studio Community in parts?

Question

Is there a way to download visual studio community which is free in parts or via a torrent?? Using the default installer the minimum size is 8GB on my net speed it will take more than a day to download.

hey Nigel There is no options to download VS in parts wise. 1.You have to use any tools which is used for downloading like IDM. 2.Resume options is also there to start from where u stop. 3.https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=44914

I would strongly recommend you to download the VS community from their site directly. Just find a browsing center with good speed and download it from there. :). This is always good. However as an alternative you can try the below ways too. AFAIK there is no authenticated torrent by MS. However try to google. I would you suggest try to use the tools called internet download mangers (again try to google) they have the capability to download as per your need. Meant that it will start the download from where you left.

I am aware of tools like FDM and IDM  but in this case it is of no use as visual studio uses it own tool to download files.
