How to input barcode scanner data to C# .Net textbox?

Hi All I am working on a project where i need to input scanned data from bar code to a text box when user scan a item/ product. Then they give submit to save scanned item number. Am going to do this in C#. Kindly guide me from where & how i have start this. Do the needful

The ones that I used came with a sheet with barcodes for configuration. You just started scanning those in a sequence picking the barcodes that applied to the required settings. I did some research for you 'randomly' picking one and that still seems to be the case. Again it comes with a sheet that you scan for the setup.

Thanks Wim They may use both USB and serial port. Any specific dll to be added as per barcode reader configuration. Kindly guide me in development process

It's a while ago that I have used them (serial ports DOS applications). How is your barcode reader connected? Serial port USB other? If it's USB or PS2 I'm quite sure that they behave just like keyboards. So set focus on the textbox scan and you're done. // Edit Note that you need to configure them for the barcode. So you need to know the format of the barcode.
