How to know total number of file exist in Remote Computer

Hi Dear I m working on the project in which i need to calculate the total number of files which is existing in other computer's drive folder. How can i get the total file according to creation date wise. Thanks....

I assume your application has an access over other computer's drive folder - In C# you could use System.IO namespace and access Directories Files Folders and write algorithm to count total number of files // searches the current directory and sub directory int fCount = Directory . GetFiles ( path  *  SearchOption . AllDirectories ). Length ; - 2nd option is to use Command prompt and write batch file to do that - 3rd option is to use Powershell cmdlets - 4th option if it's Unix based OS then use Shell script twitter @sumitjolly
